- Kitsumi always have vertically symmetrical face markings. This may be as simple as a circle above or around the eye, or a very complex radial design. A small face is included on the kitsumi template to make a straightforward reference of the face markings. The markings are always 1 solid color from the assigned palette or attached pigments.
- A kitsumi's eye is two tones of a single color, with the pupil being the lighter shade and the iris being the darker shade. The pupil should be round.
- A kitsumi may naturally have up to 10 tails, with an addition 3 from the multitail trait.
- A kitsumi that managed to have the "twin tails" tail type with 10 tails and multitail could have 26 tails (enjoy drawing that haha)
- Kitsumi have armor-like scale plates on the front of their legs.
NATIVE TRAITS EXPLAINATION
Each species has certain traits that are native to that species. You can use trait changes to change your creature's traits between any of the basic traits listed below, or any of the traits native to either parent. For example, a Faelumi with a Faelumi and Tsukimi parent may use an item to change between any Faelumi or Tsukimi traits in the respectful category. However, the Faelumi must have inherited the trait to change bwteen them, if the Faelumi did not inherit a Faceplate, you can not change between them.

- Legendary Trait:
- Caudaflare (Standard) - Allows the creature to have multiple tails, starting with a random number at birth. A special item can be used to enhance the kitsumi’s mana and grow additional tails, or they may earn more tails as they level. Also causes symmetrical markings on the face of the creature. They may be any color or shape.
